I am no wine expert, not by any stretch of the imagination.  But I do know what I like and enjoy.  Wines from the pacific northwest seem to be what brings my taste buds to jubilee.  Every wine that I have tried from J. Bookwalter Winery has been absolutely divine.  The dark, earthly flavors coat your palate and beg for another taste for further dissection.  Bookwalter wines seem to lack the sweetness or fruitiness that protrudes and distracts from the overall taste in many wines in my opinion.  I prefer a well balanced, earthy wine that does not leave me wishing for something else.  Except another glass of Bookwalter of course.
