Whenever I visit a new temple, I think of some of the old Shinto Buddhism proverbs I have come across while living in Japan. Here are some that stand out to me.
The priest who preaches foul doctrine shall be reborn as a fungus.
The karma-relation is deep.
Even a devil is pretty at eighteen.
Pleasure is the seed of pain; pain is the seed of pleasure.
All things are merely dreams.
Japan is something that must be experienced firsthand for the above to fully be understood. I personally love Japan. From the people to the food to the amazing and odd sights. I love to turn an unknown corner and be faced with something completely unexpected. Japan is a place to visit, live, die, and love. Take the trip if you have the chance, you will always wish to go back.
